After your miscarriage...how long did it take for your period to return?

Was yours a "natural miscarriage" or a "D&C?"

It's been almost 10 WEEKS since I miscarried at 5 weeks, 6 days pregnant. It's been MORE THAN 8 weeks since my HCG level reached "0." I still have NO PERIOD and I am not pregnant according to the 7 pregnancy test that I've taken over the last 3 weeks.

Is this NORMAL?!!

I was told by my doctor that since my miscarriage was very early (less than 6 weeks along) that my period would return in 4-6 weeks but now 10 WEEKS later...STILL NO PERIOD and to my knowledge I haven't ovulated yet either.

We are eager to TTC again....I'm tired of this waiting game.

Normal? Any advise?

  • I've had 3 miscarriages, all natural, and my period came back immediately.

  • I know that waiting can be hard. When i had my miscarriage i was so depressed and i wanted to start right away but the dr said they i should give it at least three to four cycles before we should try. But that was hard to do. I conceived two months later. But directly after i bleed for awhile i cant remember how long but it was longer than normal.

This whole thing has just been really difficult. My HCP said we could try again right away but my body doesn't seem to be coraporting. :(
