Swollen gums/cheeks?

Hey there. This is my second pregnancy and i'm 20 weeks along today. I woke up this morning with swollen cheeks. Really, my gums on the right side are swollen but i look like a chipmunk. No tooth pain or anything. Just out of nowhere. Pregnancy norm or no?

  • Mom's are more susceptible to gum diseases or mouth infections during pregnancy because of the vomiting and extra hormones. Rinse with warm salt water for a day or 2 and if it doesn't improve, visit the dentist.

  • I think you have pregnancy gingivitis. More info at the sites below

  • Some gum swelling can be normal, but that doesn't sound normal. Might be worth a visit to the doc or dentist.
