Too much of a mixture

I noticed the other day I was putting a half a scoop more of formula to my water mixture. My baby was having bowel and gas problems. Is this related? And if so should I correct my mistake and see what happens or correct my mistake and go ahead and make a dr. appointment?

  • Correct it and see. There is not much the doctor can do for that.

  • Correct the mistake and see if it corrects itself.

  • You should be putting the exact amount of water/formula ratio that the can of formula indicates. Yes..too much can cause some digestive problems. I would just correct and see if it helpe before calling the dr. Hope babys' tummy feels better soon!

  • I would say so. Too much in the water can do exactly what you're saying. I know because we had to mix my DS's bottles with more formula than normal, per his cardiologist.
