  • I have a cat and he just needs a litter box, food and water, love and attention, brushing and see a vet when needed. Please don't put rat poison down it would kill the cat.

  • Cats should be kept indoors, to keep them safe. Outdoor cats on average only live about 6 years because of diseases, cars, etc. They should have a clean litter box, clean water, and enough food. As for sleeping, they'll sleep pretty much anywhere, as long as it's sheltered (which, when you keep a cat indoors, is pretty much everywhere). Rat poison WILL hurt them. They are pretty low maintenance, but still need affection, otherwise, why have a cat? Be prepared to pay for medical attention when necessary. Most cats, if done from an early age, will let you clip their nails, no problem.

  • no! if you are giving rat poison do not get a cat. it will kill the cat. i have two cats and we do use them as mousers and we have yet a need for any other means for mice. all a cat really needs is a litter box in the house and food and water. a nail trim every once in a while and brush esp if its long hair is fine. and of course love and affection.
