stretch mark nightmare!!! when do they start to fade?

i recently had my baby. like nine weeks ago. well, during that last weeks of my pregnancy i got stretch marks. i got them on my belly, thighs, all along the inside of my legs, and they extend to the back of my knees. they, as you can imagine, look hideous. here i am thinking "wow i really dodged the bullet there.. i have no stretch marks". they literally appeared out of nowhere. like a quite prius cruising at night they appeared. i am mortified!!!! i am trying some cream to help them fade, but it seems like they arent fading fast enough. my questions is, how long til they actually fade into my skin color? i know they never go away, but atleast they can somewhat blend on with my skin tone... right??? please help!!!

  • My baby is 6 months old now and mine have faded some. I also used Mederma for 4 months, it helped a little. Mine secretly came up on me also. I heard tanning helps. If they are red, they will go away mostly if you tan. If they are white, only tan a little because they will stand out if you are too tan. I would definitely get a scar cream, gel, or oil for it.

  • Mine have faded about 6-12 months after I had my son, he is now 3, I still have the stretch marks of course but they are alot lighter. I used st. ives collegan elastic and st. ives mineral for body wash and coco & shea butter lotion pretty much.

  • Mine haven't fadded. I've lost a little weight and that makes them less noticable. But they are still there, and my daughter is a year old now.
