  • my girls doctor who is a pediatrition told me you don't ad a degree if you are using a digital thermometor. I called one time when my oldest was a baby at about 2.5 and I told them I added 2 degress and they said you were supose to add anything. Which my 3 year old if I take her temp it runs like 98.7 or 98.8 if I add a degree then she would always have a temp of 100.8 or 100.9

  • well you have diffrent answers on this subject. You have none, then you have add one and then add two best bet is to call and see what the doctor says

  • If you need to call the doc, tell them the temperature reading you got and how you got it. They can decide what to do with the information.

  • The thermometer directions usually have the info in it, but I think you add approximately 1 degree for an underarm reading for most of them. Our booklet says to add specifically 0.9 of a degree to the underarm reading.

  • I've heard both two and one but went with two because I'd rather be cautious then careless if that's make any sense LOL
