  • her name was not Joan of ark. her name was Jeanne D'Ark and she was a teenage girl who claimed that she had visions of Saint Catherine to lead the French to victory in the Hundred years war. She was arrested and burned as a heretic, not for her faith but because she wore male clothing. I have a documentary on her

  • Jeanne d'Arc, actually. **grin** "Joan" is the English translation.

But the rest of the above info is correct.

  • She was a woman who dared to be more than just a complacent, meek, submissive woman. She burned for it. But now she is a saint. Go figure.
