I just found out I am pregnant but I beiliev I am 10 weeks along. My doctor can not see me for another 4 weeks. I am concerned about accurate blood work that far along. Should I be?

  • I didn't see a doctor for my second until I was 13 weeks. It didn't affect anything.

  • I didnt see a doc till i was 3 months because i didnt know i was preggo you'll be just fine make the appt for as soon as you are able and all will be good :)

  • No reason to be concerned. Most docs don't see a pregnant woman till they are around 3 months along

  • I've never heard of bloodwork being less accurate after the first trimester. Many women don't see a doctor until after 12 weeks.

  • they can do blood work at anytime, its not a matter of being accurate they want to do it asap so they know about any possible problems that might occur...

  • my first dr wouldnt see me until 9 weeks so i found one who will see me sooner at six weeks i had bloodwork and ultrasound which gave me a piece of mind since i did have bleeding
