Feeding baby food... Gotta Q

When feeding baby food, do you have to feed them the same food for a set amount of days? Or can I feed them peas, then carrots, then apples... That sort of thing? If I do, how long do I have to feed them the same food?

  • same food for 3 days with out introducing anything new. It doesn't have to be consecutive but you only want to start one new thing at a time to watch for allergies.

  • you are supposed to start with rice cereal for a certain amount of days sometimes a week or a mo. Then you can add in the veggies and fruits. what i liked to do was mix in some rice cereal and veggies together but where its not too thick.

  • well, the only reason you start with rice cereal is to get them used to the different texture before you start baby food. Rice cereal is introduced at 4 months. And their digestive system is mature enough for baby foods at about 6 months of age. As for the baby food refer to the first answer.

  • If it's the first time you're feeding it to them, then stick with the same for 3-4days to watch for allergies. After you try each different one, you can mix them however you want =]
