I guess that depends on where you live - I grew up in the midwest and I LIVED on this for years in my early adult life.
1 lb ground beef browned along with diced green peppers and onions. When that is done drain off the grease. Add in a big can tomato juice, pour in a pkg of elbow noodles and cook till they are done, salt, pepper and spices to taste.
