This is so stupid lol... Food coloring?

I'm making mashed potatoes as part of dinner tonight and I was wondering if I can put green food coloring in them. Also, can food coloring be baked in something (like if I make Shepherd's Pie to use the potatoes, instead of using them as a side)?

  • yes, just add a little color at a time. be warned that the more color you add, for more intense results, you might be able to taste it. can't describe it, but its just 'off'.
i did this to cupcakes last year (Planet 51). i do it in baking all the time, especially during holidays, or special events.

  • Thanks hun, I thought so but my mind is really not working right now lol. I've never used it before, but I was pretty sure my grandma did when I was a kid, I just wanted to make sure before I did it lol.
