  • No. We always assume we will need money for alcoholic drinks when we go to a wedding.

  • There's no rule that says a wedding has to serve alcohol. If you can't attend the celebration for the love of the couple, you don't need to attend!

  • The invitation should have said "No host bar".

  • By the host or by the bartender?

We did an open bar for most of the reception, but people were on their own after a certain time. They didn't pay US for the drinks though. They just paid the bartender directly once the open bar time period was over.

  • Yes.....if you can't afford it, don't have a wedding!
