Abnormal Cramping (Period not Pregnancy)

I never understood why women equated labor to menstral cramps until now. Guess what I'd been feeling these last 30 something years wasn't so bad after all. I've been having terrible cramps (different area than usual) for 2 days now and experienced them for a couple of days last week as well. Due to start my period around the 20th. Any body else been through this? Do you thinkit's just hormones or could it be an infection of some kind?

  • I've always had trouble with my period, ever since I got it at 12. Having a baby made it worse somehow, now I retain more water, have horrid cramps strongly resembling contractions and irregular flow. If you'd had a pap recently, you are probably just fine but if not, it wouldn't hurt to get checked out to rule out anything dangerous. Good Luck and bananas help cramps immensely!
