Rice Crispie treats

Hey.
I like them, but find them to be much too sweet. Can anyone give me hints on how to make it less so?
Perhaps using honey instead of marshmallows?

  • Use more Rice Krispies. I don't follow the recipe exactly, I pour the Krispies in til it looks good. I don't like them all gooey, and just by adding in more Krispies that cuts down on the sweetness. Honey won't change it, it'll make them stickier. You could try the peanut butter ones too instead if you like peanut butter.

  • have you tried upping the ratio of rice krispies per marshmallow? that way, you'd use less of the sweet
stuff..of course, your treats may be drier....
