  • Whatever sounded best. Lol. I'd sound it out both ways, if it "flowed" more one way then I'd use that. Maybe that's just me though haha

  • Mine say Mr & Mrs. _____ on them. The guy's always first for some reason. Unless you were a Dr then it would be Dr, and Mr. so and so. Thats just the eddicate

  • Here's the way I think it goes:

Mary & John Smith (if using both 1st names, then wife's name goes first)
    or
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith (If using only husband's name with Mr. and Mrs., then Mr. goes first)

  • depends on what the labels were for.

I would probably put Mr & Mrs Smith... with out a first name
For the holiday cards it would probably say The Smith Family.

But I have received letters addressed Mr & Mrs John Smith Esq.... it has never bothered me.

  • oh btw... I would never do Mr John & Mrs Jane Smith, nor would I do John & Jane Smith, nor would I do any other variation.... I rather like the traditional.

But I didnt keep my maiden name... IF the woman keeps her maiden name then the etiquette rules change.
