when should i start my daughter on whole milk......

  • Lily's doc told me 11 or 12 months was fine. So I started her at about 11 1/2 months. But at first, you need to go 1/2 and 1/2 (mix whole milk with br. milk or formula). You don't want to spring cow's milk upon them all at once, cause I guess their little tummies might take offense.

  • As your doctor. At Chloe's 9 month check up we were told we could start weaning her around 10.5 months. She's been on milk for a month now and she's actually gaining weight better than when she was on formula.

  • Not until your dr tells you you can and don't give them cows milk until they are 1 year or above because it can make them bleed to death internally.

  • Doctors recommend 1 year. However, I had my son switched completely over by the time he was 8 months old.
