  • D & C means Dilate and Curettage. They dilate your cervix and go into the uterus and cut out and remove what's necessary. This is usually performed for abortions, miscarriages, ectopic pregnancy or excess scar tissue.

  • I have older lady friends who refer to a D and C as "spring cleaning." It's to clean out your uterus for a multitude of reasons, not just after a miscarriage...
