Has anyone else been in this situation?

I've been trying to find someone to teach me how to drive or watch my son while I go to driving school, but I haven't had any luck. Everyone always seems to be too busy or don't have the ability to teach me (out of state or no vehicle). I'm starting to get very frustrated. I hate not be able to get to where I need to get and I hate having to depend on other people. Any advice?
I didn't really know where to put this.

  • Check with your local women's shelter/support organization. I know that Hope Line offers some programs to help Moms find the resources they need to be more independent. Maybe there's something like that in your area.

  • I don't know how your financial situation is but I'd say hire a babysitter &a professional driving instructor.

  • I understand your frustration. My mom could not drive and had to depend on my dad, and he wasn't always very nice. First step, enroll in a driver's ed course.....if you cannot find a friend to babysit your child while you do this, hire a babysitter....Yes, it is hard if you don't have much money, but you can find a way.....just don't give up! Best wishes!

  • Well, I only have a minimum wage job, so it'd be hard to pay for both. To be honest, I don't even know where to a babysitter. lol Do they come to your house?
