How do you get tonsil stones out? People do this themselves, not a doctor.

  • Oh, you put the blunt end of the toothbrush back there and squeeze them out. Or use your finger.

  • I just use the end of a long makeup brush or eyeliner stick. I push on the tonsil and it pops out.

  • I have this little tool that came with a nail kit, looks like a metal scoop on a stick. I use that when I have an outbreak and it does a decent job. When I get them I get them back, my tonsils partialy went away on their own so I have tons of little pockets that the stones come out in.

For those that asked what they are, the technical term is tonsiliths, they are similiar to a kidney stone or gallstone but a soft cottage cheese consistancy, some people are prone to them. They can be small like the size of a tomato seed or bigger. It feels like food stuck in your throat but when you look in the mirror you see white crud in the tonsils. The only cure: having your tonsils removed.
