6 mo old NOT crawling........

Is it normal for a six month old to be not crawling ? We try with her but we dont know what to do to help her! She also doesn't have any teeth coming...haha! Maybe she is a late bloomer?

  • My boys didn't crawl until they were 9 months. My oldest then started walking around 12 months. My younger one crawled until he was 17 months. DD didn't crawl, she scooted on her butt, inching along with her legs.

It is perfectly normal for a 6 month old to not be crawling. And like some ladies have said, some never do - they scoot, army crawl or like me, go straight to cruising and walking.

  • It's totally normal, don't stress about it just yet! I've known babies who didn't start crawling until they were almost 1 and then almost immediately started walking, and I've known babies who have walked before crawling. Every baby is different :)

  • I wouldn't worry bout it, 6 months is still young, is she sitting up? holding her head up? if so shes fine, my daughter never crawled, she bum shuffled and didn't get her first tooth till 11 months. If your a 1st time mom just try not worry and dont be comparing your daughter to other babies because every baby is different.

  • I'm starting to think she will be one of those babies who start off walking lol!
She is sitting up good and holding her head up but is there anything that I can do to help her learn to crawl?
