  • Walkers are dangerous and do not really help children learn to walk. I recommend an exersaucer or jumperoo. Exersaucers are very portable and will entertain children for awhile. Pushable toys are much better for helping children learn to walk and gain independence.

  • Walkers like bloomsr said can be dangerous. A child in a walker can reach into things he/she may not have been able to before, and could pull things down on his/her head. They can also tip over, or a child (if not closely supervised) could fall down stairs in one. Plus they really don't aid in muscular development in the way a jumperoo or push toy would.

  • I had a Sauser for my kids and loved it. I think BIG LOTS has some for about 50 but they sell em on craigs list all the time :) I have heard mixed things about walkers. But Like the toy selection in the saucer so thats what I always went with.

  • The walker worked wonders for my lil boy so I wanted to get one for my DD but she is too short. We got her a round 'a bout but apparently her patience level is too short for that ...lol She loves her jumper though! I guess girls are more maintance than boys...
