Does smoking really make you lose weight? Why?

  • It can because it's a very mild appetite suppressant, but it's not going to make you drop pounds left and right. If it REALLY made you lose weight, more people would be stick thin (like me), but it really just makes you fee less hungry so you don't really gain weight because you eat a little less. I smoke more when I'm hungry (like if I'm waiting on food) because it helps calm the hunger feeling.

  • When I use to smoke, I started because smoking would make me kind of nauseous, and I didn't feel like eating so I did loose weigth, but after a while it goes away, and the only thing you are addicted to is the nicotine.
