  • We started our boys on a Little Tykes slide. They started going down it at a year. As for the bigger slide, my oldest was too afraid to go down until he was around 3.

  • 2-2.5 years old. My son is 3 now and if I could hold him down the "big boy" slide I so would. My husband forced me to break away! I still get VERY nervous. Especially now that he wants to go down on his tummy and backwards on his tummy! Ughh! just the thought of him falling scares me!!

  • 6??? You're talking about a small plastic slide right? It seems like by 1 1/2 maybe? I can't remember. I remember before his first birthday putting my older son on a slide on this stomach and letting him go down by himself, but my 13 month old hasn't done that yet.

  • The small little tykes type slide - my children were going down on their own between 1½ and 2.
Age 6?? Even on the bigger outdoor slides, my kids were going down on their own before they were 6 years old.

  • my 14 month old goes down the slides by herself. of course, they are small, short slides made for infants. she walks up the steps, sits down, scoots to the edge and goes down all by herself! lol its adorable

  • My 1 1/2 can go down the slide by her self. She flips over to her stomach and slides down.
