Is this really happening?!

Its been two years since my husband and I have had date night and its finally happening tonight! Grandpa is coming over to watch our little ones while we got out. The few times we have tried in the past few months one of our children get sick or something else comes up. I had our second baby last April and I didnt feel comfortable leaving her with anyone untill she was able to atleast crawl and play on her own and now shes walking :). Plus I nurse her so I couldnt be gone longer then a couple of hrs. Were not big on doing things without our children anyway but I think once or twice a year is ok to have a date night cause we also get alone time once the kids are asleep and we usually watch a movie. So this evening were going to see the movie "Beastly" and before we might or might not grab a bite to eat, just depends on how much time we have. Is anyone else having mommy daddy night tonight? What are your plans?

  • Enjoy!! My children are all older (Youngest is 13 yrs old), so hubby and I get "date" night once a week as long as there is nothing going on with their schools on the night we chose to go out.

  • Date night? What's that?????

We don't have those, I don't think we EVER have had one. Except for military formals. Which have been...2. And the last one sucked. Wait, we did go to a concert last year! Well, we have had a VERY few date nights in over 15 years. Sad really.

  • Awww Raine2001 why dont you tell your husband to take you out when hes there? Like I said we hardly ever go out but every once in a while means that much more. You deserve to have tht special time with hubby.

  • I wish! I have 4 kids and I don't have anyone but my mil to babysit for me. She watches them sometimes, but I feel bad asking her, since she has RA and sometimes has a hard time using her hands repeatedly. Hope you had fun!
