Prepaid phones

I've asked about a million questions about them lately lol, but this is my last (I hope). I know that usually when you switch to a pre-paid phone (or from one brand to a new one) you can keep your old number. BUT, can you still do that if you're service just ended with your current pre-paid phone? Like if you use one brand, your service ended yesterday, and you get a new kind today, can you still keep your old number?

  • Good question! I would call the carrier of the prepaid phone & ask them

  • Most of them let you do that now. I would call the company before you buy the phone and find out for sure.

  • Well, it's no big deal if I do have to switch numbers, I was just wondering if anyone knew for sure lol. I'll take my chances since my phone is a POS and not worth anything now. I'd rather have a new number than keep that phone.

  • I think you can as long as you don't wait too long then they give the number to someone else.
