How can you tell if a Mango is ripe when your at the store and after it's been sitting out at home?

  • A mango is ripe when you touch it it is soft and reddish in color, if it is starts getting brownish spots it way too ripe and should be eaten right away before it goes bad.

  • you can usually smell it very strong when its getting over ripe. it should be slightly soft but not squishy. like older said it should be yellow with pink cheeks to it. im not sure about the brown spots though, dependant on what kind of spots older meant. some brown spots are just the type of skin it has.
    green not ripe, yellow usually ripe.
