How OLD does this make you feel?

On another question, I blocked out the last 50 years by decade.

Look at when you were born and grew up ...

10 yrs ago = 2000

20 yrs ago = 1990s

30 yrs ago = 1980s

40 yrs ago = 1970s

50 yrs ago = 1960s

I was born in 1969 and grew up on 80s hair bands.
I got married in 1985, my son was born in 1986.

  • It makes me feel old when I think about what a big deal it was when our family bought our first computer... that was huge and had a modem with that annoying screeching sound. And how only rich people had cell phones that were the size of your head.

  • I was born in '59 and was a teenager in the 70's. I remember Kennedy's funeral, MLK being killed, the moon landing, Kent State, the Vietnam War, and the Carter debacle, the Iranian hostages, oh there is so much.

  • Not really. I was born in 1967, got married in 1985 (Oct.) and had my 1st son in 1986 (August) and it just seems un-real when I say "25 years ago" or even when it comes to music "27-30 years ago". It doesn't really feel like THAT much time has passed.

  • I am aging but I don't feel 'old' My Mom is almost 80..she's old, LOL I'm old enough to have a son almost 30 and grandchildren. I have graying hair and wrinkles on my face...but my heart is still young. Let's put it this way...I watched Dobie Gillis when I was a kid and it wasn't in reruns or syndication :)
