  • Not everyone gets it. If you didnt work throughout your whole marriage you stand a good chance of getting it, but if you worked during your marriage you probably wont get any.

  • Most marriages don't last long enough to get spousal maintenance. You would have to talk to an attorney.

  • I was married for 12 years and was a SAHM for the last 8 years of that. I didn't ask for spousal support.

  • I had to work to support myself and 2 children.Oh yea, I received $20.00 a week for both kids as child support.That only paid for the babysitter.BTW that was 40 some years ago.

  • i had to fight to just get child support the children so that I could take care of the children. There was no spousal support. They don't care!
