Why do people think that the term "babymama" is an ignorant term? What if they were never married?

Some women on here are just so rude sometimes!

  • I was never married and I would not like to be called that. lol

  • Why? Because it sounds trashy and ghetto. It's a lot more tasteful to say "the mother/father of my child(ren)" or "my child(rens) mom/dad".

  • Its a derogatory term like using the "N" word

  • Because it is ignorant. It doesn't make sense in the English language. It is Baby'S mama, baby'S mother, child's get it right??

  • I don't think I'd like if my ex reffered to me that way. He calls me his kids mom. Just like I don't call him my baby daddy. I call him my kids dad.

  • Because use of the term just makes a person sound uneducated. Marriage does not a mom make, why can't you just say Mom?

  • It is an ignorant and disrespectful term reffering to a childs Mother. If someone called me first response would be to grab my other hand before it slaps them.

  • A babymama to me is a woman who likes to live off child support and has many children from many men and is a woman who only wants to get pregnant and collect a paycheck for having a child. Is that ignorant of me?
