Have you ever experienced fetal hiccups?

I am 27 weeks pregnant. I know fetal hiccups is normal but it can go on for hours!!!!!!! What do you do when youfeel this?

  • I've never felt them for hours nonstop.  They feel weird to me so when it starts happening I change positions.  Luckily that helps, lol.

  • Yes my baby constantly gets hiccups! It's really inconvineant when I am trying to sleep lol I just deal with it I don't know what else to really do...

  • Normal. =) They're actually good for Baby, because they help strengthen his/her diaphragm, so that she can breathe when she comes out.

  • *I* would get them all the time when I was pregnant with my daughter. She'd get them so bad *my* whole body would shake. She's now 4 and had a *really* good set of lungs on her. We're constantly telling her to turn her volume down.

    Seems pretty normal to me. I always had a copy of What to Expect When Your Expetcting handy, and had no problems calling my doctor's office at 2 in the morning. Thankfully they have an answering service, are right next to the hospital, and always have an on-call doctor.
