    * U.S. passport
    * U.S. passport card
    * DHS "Trusted Traveler" cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST)
    * U.S. Military ID (active duty or retired military and their dependents, and DOD civilians)
    * Permanent Resident Card
    * Border Crossing Card
    * DHS-designated enhanced driver's license
    * Drivers Licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent)
    * A Native American Tribal Photo ID
    * An airline or airport-issued ID (if issued under a TSA-approved security plan)
    * A foreign government-issued passport
    * Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) card
    * Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

    Valid would eliminate the expired DL's or ID's, by the way. GL

  • I doubt a birth certificate will work. Social Security doesn't even let you use birth certificates as a form of identification for an adult these days. I am almost 100% positive it has to be a photo ID. Work ID, Student ID, Military ID, Picture ID, etc.

    I also don't think expired ID's will work. You could try it, but don't be surprised to have it fail. It really doesn't take that long to get a replacement DL or Photo ID. I do suggest you get that done before making any travel plans. =)

    Verified : I just checked an airlines website : As an adult, you’ll need either a valid passport or a state approved photo identification card.

  • TSA is the website to trust and they say you need a photo ID. Unfortunately, I am not sure what else to tell you and I know they won't bend the rules. If anything, they're too dickish with the rules IMO. Maybe have a family member send some money Western Union or something.
