Hop, Kids movie or no?

My mother was excited to see the commercials for the new movie Hop coming out on April 1st. She's wanting take my two boys to see it. After watching the commercials I'm not convinced it's a children's movie. Anybody know for sure?

  • We're going to see Hop. Sometimes I wonder what they consider kids movies now, but typically if it's PG I'll give it a go. We had intentions on seeing Rango but I heard over and over it was stupid, and cussed way to much, so I saved our money. DS is only 5 though not 9 so I wasn't too big on paying for him to hear a bunch of cuss words. If he were older and knew better not to repeat it wouldn't have bothered me as much. Hopefully Hop is good, I hate paying 10 bucks to see crappy movies.

  • It's rated PG. It looks like it's appealing to kids and adults.

  • If it is rated PG, there it is obviously approved for young viewers.
