UTI pain . . . .help . . . adult content

I am hoping you guys have some advice.

I have a UTI. I went to urgent care this morning and was given Macrobid. I started taking it this morning. But, wow! It is soooooo painful . . . .my whole lower body feels hyperactivated, and I feel like I always have to pee.

Is there anything I can do to help myself feel better until this Macrobid kicks in? I have taken Ibuprophen, but it hasn't helped.

  • There is a product by AZO.  It works but it will turn your pee orange.

  • Short of flushing your kidneys by drinking lots of water - there's nothing.

  • and cranberry juice. If you want to there is an over the counter med called urostat that is for pain during a uti. Call and make sure it is okay to take with your meds though it should be.

  • Cranberry won't help with the pain. It helps you from getting new infections, but won't help with the current pain. That will just take time.

  • AZO and Cystex will both help with the pain. The relief from AZO is fast, too. Feel better!
