  • Fox is not a federal company. Fox is private.

  • I know that, but apparently someone should tell the illustrious rep McGovern that.

  • Here's a more accurate assessment for this story...Ironically from FOX: "A congressman smarting over legislation to defund National Public Radio tried to take out his frustration with a ban on federal dollars paying for advertising on Fox News, but the effort was rejected in a party-line committee vote."

Sounds like he wanted to stop spending federal ad money at Fox.

  • Congressman Jim McGovern says if Republicans are serious about defunding NPR–instead of focusing their time on more pressing matters–he says “we should be fair and balanced in the way we do it,” and take funding away from Fox News as well".

  • If they do get federal money, stop it, fine.

    They can do without it.

    They'll still be there.
