  • it is reccommended to not feed your infant solids until 4-6 months.. preferably 6. So no, your not wrong.

  • Nope, you're wise. Unless there is a medical reason for it (like gerd), it is smart to wait until your baby is at least 4 months old (preferrably 6-7 months) before introducing solids.

  • No, you are absolutely right.

  • Babies really are not supposed to eat solids til 6mos. I know people disagree with this but the kidneys and digestive track are just not mature til then. Even if the baby does eat. A good way to tell is if the baby doesn't push the food out with their tongue as a reflex. A lot of the rice cereals are just simple starches with a lot of iron that they can't absorb and only cause constipation.

  • nope it is perfectly okay.

  • NO! Whoever is telling you to give baby cereal months before the gut is closed is VERY wrong.

  • Depends on why you're not doing it, I guess. If your doctor told you to for medical reasons but you're choosing not to because you're not ready, then yes, you're wrong...otherwise, no. As long as you're making informed decisions about your child's diet with your doctor, you won't be doing anything wrong (despite what some Moms on here will tell you!).

  • A 2 month old's gut is open and is not ready for solid foods, including cereal. Unless there is a health issue you are right for not giving cereal before 6 months. Actually processed infant cereals are NEVER necessary!

  • I started my baby on cereal at 3 months and still received criticism.
