What's your thoughts on this phrase?

  • The first part i would say i believe is true and wise advise. but the second? not so much. Usually what you can see, read, investigate, learn about....that is usually pretty solid to have faith in believing in it.

  • It's a bit of an exaggeration. We can only believe what we sense in the world around us. If you literally can't believe what you hear and see, then what on earth do you have to go on? Your taste?? Your smell?? It's absurd. But the implication that you should be cautious is a good lesson.

  • The second part is true as well ...what you see is not neccessarily true, it's only your perception, it's laced with your experiences and your opinions and your judgement. Havent' you ever said something and had it taken completely the wrong way? That is the only example that I can think of.
