Baby crib mishap

So I moved my seven week old from her bassinet to her crib last night. She did pretty good until I heard her crying around 3am. I figured she was hungry but went in there to find she had wiggled over and her little arm was in between the slats of the crib and her body blocked her from getting out. I didn't put her bumper in there because I read you were supposed to take it out because of the risk of SIDS. I was terrified. How do I keep this from happening?

  • Unless she is rolling over unassisted she can still use the bassinet.

I never had these issues, because we bedshared.

  • I'd keep her in the bassinet too.

  • They make breathable bumpers that will prevent this:

  • I used a bumper never had a problem. Otherwise keep her in the bassinet for a bit longer. g/l
