Do you believe in fasting? I do at times....

  • Sure. It's helpful both medically and spiritually. I fast before rituals - not for long, but 12 - 24 hours...

  • I've not done it, but I do realize that many people find it beneficial to their spirituality and personal walk to fast. :)

  • Yes.. fasting from religion, tradition, and anything not from God :-)
    Fasting isnt just about not eating food... but about a lifestyle.
    Jesus lived a fasted life style but it never mentioned that He fasted food.

  • i dunno what you mean by believe, but i dont fast for health reasons (im hypoglycemic). however, i can see how it would be beneficial to one's spirituality.

  • I fast three times a year: Yom Kippur, Fast of Esther, Tish a B'av. There are four other fast days, but I do not observe them
