once a baby starts drinking breastmilk from a bottle how long is it good for?

  • Only for a couple hours out of the fridge...only pour what he/she will drink though. It goes bad faster than the formula...and remember never to microwave breastmilk, it kills the nutrients.

  • I was told, 5 hours at room temp, 5 days in the fridge, and 5 months in a freezer. Warm it back up from fridge or freezer in a bottle, put into a glass of hot water. This info came from a breastfeeding counseler at WIC.

  • 4 hours at room temperature, 7 days in the fridge, and 3-4 months in freezer, not on the door.
    Once the baby has started drinking from the bottle, I would say an hour.

  • I woudl agree with 4ish hours room temp, week in fridge, and 4 motnhs in freezer..but i was always nervous, and better safe than sorry, so i never kept mine that long.
