Help with baby nursery

Husband and I are repainting the room so it could also be a nursery for our little one.. she is coming soon.. we are stuck on a wall border and theme idea though. The room is Orchid Blush.. a purple that isn't too pale.. and the furniture is white. So just trying to find something to fit that will fit us as well.

  • Yellow may go with your color. Are you just looking for bedding?

  • I get inspiration from online sources like Pottery Barn Kids or other Children's sites like Rosenberry Rooms. They have fabulous artwork and designs. I agree with ria7 and yellow is a great complimentary color to orchid. I am a decorative painter and just did a wall border with a nursery song all along the wall. A sporadic star here and there made it pop. Flowers and butterflies are an easy thing to paint and you don't have to have much skill with all those pre-cut vinyl appliques out there now. Convo me if you would like more inspiration.

  • I have seen wall stickers that can easily be removed and don't damage walls. I have even seen fairies so it doesn't matter if they aren't a perfect color match. Little girls all seem to like fairies at one time or another. You could put them wherever, not just a border. And if she wants to have them changed in a few years, you won't have to repaint too.
