Is johnson & johnson tear free shampoo safe to use on eye?

I've been using the drops to treat his eye infection, my question is his eyes turned flaky can I use a little bit of johnson & johnson no tear shampoo to wash the flake off? How do you clean his eye if it flakes?

  • No way. Just use clear warm water on a washcloth. You should never introduce soap into the eye, tear free or not.

  • Plain water. Never introduce chemicals to the eye unless prescribed by the Dr.

  • No ! Warm water only...that may irrritate the eye worse. Use a warm wash cloth and wipe from corner out and dont use the same part of the cloth for the other eye...keeps the infection down and from spreading worse. Lots of hand washing and sanitizing too...for everyone. also dont let anyone lay on his/her pillow . Pink eye is highly contagious !

  • NO WAY...I never used it on my children to wash their hair either. The PH is so high(thats what makes the eyes burn), so they add lidocane, and novacane dirivitives to numb the eyes. It's very harsh actually.
