Can a three month old start teething?

my ds is three months and he is biting his hands and anything he can get into his mouth, drooling a lot, and i feel bumps in his gums that feel like lil teeth popping up that werent there when he was born.
Also he is getting crankier, especially before naps.

  • Yes, my daughter got her first tooth at 4 months. She was teething since 3 months. Your daughter can teeth for months before she actually pops out a tooth!

  • of course they can. Babies can teeth at any age it is just not as common. My girls started at 3 months although they didn't pop through until 6 months or almost 6 months. Babies can even be born with teeth although if they are born with teeth they usually have to have them pulled

  • Ya know I thought the same thing when DS was 3 months old, but the Pediatrician said its most common to experiance teething at about 4-5 months old. DS didnt get his first tooth until he was 11 months old though, so that was good.

  • A baby can teeth at any age. Some are early, my last child didn't get his first tooth til elevan months and I thought there was something wrong with him and that is what his doc. told me.
