  • This happened to my dog years ago, and she ended up just pooping it all out, wrappers and everything.

  • Most likely, she'll just pass it. If she starts to act "off" in any way, I would call the vet. Was the gum sugar-free? If so, it may contain an artificial sweetener called Xylitol which is dangerous for dogs. If it does contain Xylitol, please go to the vet right away as it can be fatal!

  • As long as it wasn't sugar free IW ouldn't worry to much. I would call and double check with you vet though!

  • If it does not contain Xilitol, then just watch for signs of a blockage. Vomiting, loss of appetite an difficulty defecating are big warning signs that you should go to the vet asap. The pup will most likely pass it on their own but there's always a chance.

  • I would have called my vet first before posting online...got their advice on what to do. They may want u to bring her in as they may have been able to give her medication to make her throw up.

Watch her carefully...any signs of lethargia, vomiting or anything like that take her straight down. It could have caused a blockage.

  • I had to laugh when I read this. Sounds like a very curious puppy. Cute. I doubt he learned his lesson tho.
