Alcoholic detox....

has anyone had any experiences with " at home detox" of an alcoholic? i'm wondering if it is possible to do this on your own or if it is truly necessary to go to a rehab center to get clean. I have been researching this online and it seems like there are all kinds of herbal remedies available to help with the process but i want to know more. If any one has any input at all about this i would really appreciate it. Thanks gals! FYI_ i'm not the alcoholic...

  • alcohol detox is the same as any other detox. It is very hard on the body the person will be sick and i mean sick! thats why they recommend going to a rehab center so they can monitor the detox, i have herd of people dying from the DT's

  • It depends on the person. Is the person, apart from alcoholic, in a physically bad way that their body couldnt handle the cleansing process?

What you could do is contact a professional who does fast who could potentially either help you through it at home....its a bit tricky because it really does depend on the health.

If they are in a bad way then you should have them monitored and they should slowly come off of it...
