Preschool type care needed...

I am looking for care for a three year old girl, convenient to Falls Church and Springfield, VA. She needs a preschool setting as she has some educational concerns that I think need to be addressed (I sat for her before). A home daycare setting is not a good match. The only problem is that her parents have to drop off at 5:30-6:00 a.m. and pick up close to 3:30-4:00 p.m. Any suggestions?

  • What type of educational concerns? Most states have programs in place that are free to help in those situations. For example, here in FL it is called Early Step. The parent first step should be addressing concerns with their pediatrician who can point them in the right direction.

  • Sounds like she needs home daycare/babysitter/nanny type care for that hour of the morning - someone who can drop her off and pick her up from preschool.... hard to find. Syphon is right... there are public ed. programs out there. They need to call the local school system for an SPED eval. If they determine she need some help they can place her in a program or direct you to one.
