  • Everything in moderation :) Its the aspartame in diet drinks that are not good for the baby. A cup or two is ok though :)

  • aspartame isn't good for anyone really. a pregnant woman can have 150mg of caffeine a day which is about 1-1.5 cups of coffee. so you can have your soda but it would honestly be better to drink regular.

  • Diet coke is not good for you EVER.

  • I'd say as a treat but you should be drinking mostly water or milk. If it's the carbonation you like, try sodium free club soda and juice.

  • I could see no benefit for the baby drinking any soda so I might have had 1 can a week when I just couldn't stand it ( I was an addict).

  • once in awhile yeah it's okay....but I completely agree that artificial sweeteners aren't good for everyone, so if you can give it up, do it.

  • My doctor said everything in moderation is fine. If you church a gallon a day then its bad for you (pregnant or not). One or two a day is fine. I personally changed to regular coke from diet when pregnant. I actually ended up drinking less then I did with diet on my own that way but avoided the caffeine head ache.
