  • I agree with the PP...nothing already prepared (and reasonably priced) is going to look AND taste good. You can get some puff pastry, and cut it into small squares, then press into a mini-muffin tin. Add toppings of your choosing: artichokes and chicken, tomato sauce and diced pepperoni, bacon & bbq sauce, with various cheese (gruyere, mozzarella, havarti, provolone) and bake about 10 min. Excellent, and it offers a lot of variety in one easy recipe.

You can also get some jarred artichokes (the marinated kind), mix with mayo, cream cheese, and parmesan cheese, then bake at 350* for about half an hour. Sprinkle with paprika and serve with thinly sliced baguette (toasted or not) and tortilla chips. If you serve the chips, you can add salsa and sour cream to the platter too.

  • Appetizers aren't hard to prepare. You can get a lot of ideas just by reading the back of cracker Triscuits....just layering some sliced veggies and cheese on a cracker, and arranging on a pretty plate makes a nice little appetizer.

You can also make a simple veggie dip tray, by slicing a variety of veggies...carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower in a circle and placing a tub of flavored dip in the middle.

Cheese cubes with toothpicks and fresh sliced fruit with crackers or bread sticks works well too!
