  • Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty filed paperwork with federal elections officials Monday to become a formal candidate for president, the first major Republican to take that step in what is expected to be a multi-candidate field against President Obama.

  • Good for him.

What do you think of him?   Not sure yet, but I like what I have heard.

What are his chances of getting the nod?  I don't know, I guess it all depends on who else is running for the nomination.

If he does, can he beat President Obama?   Time will tell.  I guess it all depends on what happens from here on out.  I am thinking he has a good chance.

  • I think the GOP has a great deal of work to do, IF they expect to win the WH in 12-

I have more faith in the American people than to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

From what I have seen and read, Pawlenty is a wordsmith who lacks charisma-

  • I think we have had enough charisma with Obama doesn't make one a good President.

  • Woot woot! I'm pretty excited! I do have to say he wasn't my top pick for Rep. nom., but he's better than some we've had in the past try to get it!
