  • It isn't easy the first time around .. I have to use towels, that helps hold it together better.

Also .. don't let it be cold, it doesn't roll as easy as when it is still a little warm .. But towels does the trick for me.

    Good Luck.

  • did you try flour instead to unstick it from the towel? it might turn it white but flour is tasteless.i know that it will break up a little bit as rolling it, did you try wax paper?

  • You need to use a clean, lint-free towel, and sift powdered sugar (NOT flour) over it. Roll it no more than 5 min out of the oven. Invert the cake pan directly onto the towel, and pull the parchment paper (that you lined the baking pan with) off, then roll immediately, working away from you. Place seam side down and let cool completely before you unroll to fill. Spread the filling quickly, and use the towel to help you re-roll it, without rolling it into the cake. Place seam side down again, but this time on your serving platter.

If it is sticking to the towel, you don't have enough sugar on it.
