Those dieting, do you weigh yourself daily or weekly?

I'm trying to do it once a week but I can't help checking daily. I really don't think it's good because if I show a gain I get frustrated.

  • I weigh weekly. I'd get discouraged if I didn't see change from day to day.

  • I have always done it weekly until recently...a friend of mine who has lost a considerable amount of weight, told me, to stay off the scale for a month....she said to measure myself weekly, but only to weight myself once a month....so that is what I'm doing...every time I stepped on the scale, if I lost I would be elated, but if I gained, ugh, it would set me back about a month....so far it's been great...although I did have to hide the scale so i wouldn't see it every time I walked into the bathroom.

  • I am not dieting, but I do weigh myself on a monthly basis just to make sure I am keeping within my weight. If you are dieting I would do it once a week so you can see or not see progress, daily will only frustrate you.

  • I force myself to not do it daily, and weigh in once a week. I get kind of obsessed and, if it weren't for the disappointment, I would be on that scakle twice a day. So, now, I only let myself take a peek on the weekend.

  • My trainer is only doing once every two weeks. She's also measuring body fat, and heartrate stamina, so she wants to see if ALL things improve.
